Christine Chang Hanway's home office in her London townhouse was originally designed to be used by two people--but when her sons began prepping for national public exams, the space became a family affair. To accommodate the overflow, she figured out a simple way to create more workspace. Come along for a tour.
Christine's typical work corner.
Labeled wooden drawers allow for easy and flexible storage.
Christine uses file cabinets under the desk space to provide additional storage.
Three-drawer lateral files are stored under an Ikea shelving system.
Paperwork is filed efficiently in metal lateral files, and the shelf above holds sundry items waiting to get tidied away.
Christine added a new custom-built laptop counter for her sons.
The living room provides additional light to the open office.
