Our newest site, The Organized Home, launched in November 2017, around the same time our third book, Remodelista: The Organized Home, hit bookstores. I came onboard as the site’s editor in January 2018, and immediately immersed myself in all matters related to organization. I’m happy to say I’ve found my tribe: design fanatics who are happiest in a clean, well-lighted room of one’s own.
Before we dive into new stories and projects (basement clutter, I have plans for you) for the coming year, let’s rewind and take a moment to revisit some highlights of this past year:
Website Launch
Here’s how we introduced ourselves: “For more than a year, we’ve been working behind the scenes on our new book, Remodelista: The Organized Home, compiling our favorite organizing lessons learned over the past decade. The more we delved into the subject, the more we realized how central organization is to the well-considered home. So we’re delighted to announce that today we’re launching a new website, The Organized Home, offering daily dispatches on smart, thoughtful storage ideas for all over the house.”
Celebrations
We launched our new book with a soiree at Jenni Kayne’s first NYC boutique, in Tribeca (thanks, Jenni!), and traveled to Westport, CT, the next night to celebrate with our friends at Terrain in Westport (thanks, Lacey!).
Press, Etc.
Here’s a sampling of what our friends had to say about Remodelista: The Organized Home:
“Remodelista: The Organized Home has simple and joyful solutions for dealing with clutter prone spots with style.” —Washington Post
“A decluttering tome that supports the beauty of organization, helping readers to understand that order can be artful. The book goes room by room through every space in the house, breaking down not only what to toss and keep, but also how to make your home efficient without sacrificing style.” —Apartment Therapy
“A new book from the editors of Remodelista, Remodelista, the Organized Home, is chock-full of straightforward, unfussy solution[s] for getting your belongings and rooms in order. One section we especially love is the list of things you should get rid of in the bathroom—there are no theories, no asking yourself what brings you joy. Just a list.” —Architectural Digest
