How did I end up with an entire kitchen cabinet dedicated solely to storage of cutting boards? It’s a happy ending to a story that started out scary. Let’s just say that when I bought my circa-1926 cottage a few years ago, its condition was described by the real estate agents as “vintage,” a label only slightly less scary than “tear-down.”
Then came the remodel, including a new kitchen. When you start from scratch, you can dream big. Here’s my slim cutting board drawer—built to size to fit sheet pans and a jelly roll tin as well:
