DIY Ikea Hack: A Genius, No-Skills-Required Storage Project

Wall Organizer Ikea Hack from Hunker

It seems that I have an obsession with slatted wooden wall organizers. In just the past year, I’ve written about one from Ferm Living and another from Danish brand Woud, both of which came with hefty price tags that put them in the admire-but-not-acquire category for me.

Recently, though, I came across a way to make my own version on the cheap. The DIY project is simple: Turn two Ikea shelving planks ($14 total!) vertically, mount them to the wall, hang makeshift shelves (with the help of over-the-door hooks) from the slats, and add hooks and clips.

Here’s how Hunker contributor and self-described “DIY fiend” Francesca Stone made it.
