Here at The Organized Home, it’s not every day that we receive urgent missives. So when I saw an email from Julie last night with the subject line, “Breaking News,” I immediately clicked on it.
Then, I squealed. The news? Ikea’s Skådis Pegboards, which made their debut in Europe last year, are now available stateside. A pegboard is an organization fanatic’s best friend—and the fact that Ikea’s smart, customizable, and inexpensive versions are now just a click away is news worthy of spreading far and wide (and with exclamation points)!
The Skådis Pegboard is sold in three different sizes ($8.99 to $15.99) and two colors (white and wood). There are a host of accessories you can buy for them—elastic cords, clips, hooks, shelves, bins; prices range from $1 for a tool holder to $8 for a pack of three containers with lids. And if you’d rather not have to spend time figuring out how to accessorize your pegboard, simply choose one of 12 combination packages, each of which includes a pegboard (or two) and a set of accessories; these are priced from $10.99 to $42.99.
