Each of us at Remodelista has a slightly different system for storing food and dried goods in the kitchen, but we haven’t really delved into garlic storage. So when we came across ceramicist Sophie Van Heijningen’s garlic pots (and her other kitchen storage containers), we took note. Here’s a look.
Above: The Cha Garlic Pot in Black, like the other designs in Van Heijningen’s collection, are based on traditional Thai and Bangladeshi designs. The garlic pot has holes at the bottom of the container for ventilation. It’s £21 ($28) at SCP.
Above: The Cha Mustard Pot in Black is similar in shape to a store-bought mustard jar in a black glaze with an elastic band to keep the lid suction tight; £15.50 ($20) at SCP.
Above: The Cha Storage Jar in Black is designed for any food storage—coffee, grains, beans—and measures about seven inches tall; £20 ($26) at SCP. It’s also available in Cream at SCP.
Above: The Cha Garlic Pot in Cream has red elastic band and is £21 ($28) at SCP.
Above: The Cha Mustard Jar in Cream, like the black version, has a rubber suction and elastic band to keep mustard or other condiments tightly sealed for the fridge; £15.50 ($20) at SCP.
Above: The Cha Storage Bowl is only available in cream at SCP and is meant for more temporary storage of leftovers in the fridge; £34.50 ($46).
