Vera Novis is a collaboration between a leather artisan and a woodworker, both located in southern Sweden, who bring together the two materials in new and inventive ways. Hillevi Magnell of Smålands Skinnmanufaktur sources her hides from Tarnsjo Garveri, the world’s only environmentally certified tannery, and Sara Rudenstam of Formbruket works only with wood from local forests.
The two founders use Swedish materials by makers that are as close to their home base of Jonkoping as possible; their small line includes storage pieces, a daybed, and elegant leather-wrapped stools. See the full collection here.
