When we first started Remodelista, one of our favorite sources for obscure household finds was Hoping for Happy Accidents by Brooklyn-based Kelly Cooper Kordylewski. That’s how we discovered A. Depeche in Kyoto, a housewares and furniture shop featuring an alluring array of wabi-sabi-esque goods for the home. Here’s a look at a few of our favorite products.
Above: Handmade in Tochigi prefecture, a rustic broom; ¥2,600 ($22.66).
Above: A strangely compelling distressed metal lampshade; ¥9,900 ($86.27).
Above: A kitchen storage rack; ¥2,200 ($19.17).
Above: Printed linen placemats; from ¥316 ($2.75) each.
Above: A paper towel holder of iron and teak; ¥4,300 ($37.47).
Above: A wall-mounted basket for kitchen storage; ¥1,600 ($13.94).
