When remodeling her 1926 Mediterranean-style home in LA, architect Sherry McKuin paid special attention to the kitchen: with its considered details and well-planned built-ins, there's nothing cookie-cutter about the space. Read on for some of our favorite storage lessons from her kitchen:

1. Find Extra Storage In The Island

2. Designate a step-down for mail.
